The England and Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard is guaranteed NOT to be out celebrating tonight after being found not guilty of affray after a fight at a Liverpool night club in January.

It’s not quite the same as being found “innocent” but it is a shock to many that he escaped a guilty verdict after admitting striking an employee of the night club, mark McGee, who he said wouldn’t let him play his favourite music despite being promised he could do so by the club’s management.

Behaving like a petulant child, Gerrard remonstrated with the club DJ forcing the man to take cover in a back room. Shortly after Gerrard, who admitted he had been drinking, followed after the man to prolong the argument. It didn’t take long for Gerrard to escalate the row, striking the unfortunate McGee in a rain of successive blows that left him needing hospital treatment.

Despite being drunk, starting the fight, admitting throwing the first punch and the whole thing being captured on CCTV camera; Gerrard was found not guilty by the jury – who happened to be from the same city where he plays football.

I read this news article at Metro News this morning about a DNA test being done to find out if this Norwegian guy Omer Bhatti (aka O-Bee) is indeed Michael Jackson’s 4th child. All this speculation came about when the press noticed Bhatti sitting with the rest of his siblings in the front row at Jackson’s memorial service.

I just don’t get it… So what if he is? I personally don’t think its going to make Michael Jackson less of a person if the world had to find out he has a son which no-one knew about. I always remember Michael covering the faces of his children with masks to hide their identity. I don’t for one second blame him for that as the paparazzi don’t look to improve anyone’s life but only destroy it for their own pleasure and personal gain. I suppose that’s the world we live in, controversy sells.

Back to my point! Let’s take it for granted that Bhatti is indeed a Jackson. My opinion is that they kept it confidential to prevent Omer from being bombarded by press and minimise rumours and allow him to live a “normal” life.

The flip side of that is that Michael Jackson is the one person that the press and even you and me would love to turn the story around and make him out to be the worst person ever to exist. Can you imagine the hysteria that would have come about with Michael Jackson having a bastard son? I’m sure the same people who called him “gay” and “paedophile” would forget that and just focus on the point that he has a love child and the fact that he kept this secret from the world.

So it brings me back to my question which titled this post. What next?? I’ve heard that Michael Jackson died some time ago and the person we saw in the coffin at his memorial service was a clone or someone who was modified to look like him. Give me a break….I ask again…What next?

The Jackson family has suffered the loss of a father, brother, son and friend. Can we please keep that in mind when passing judgement on this matter of the alleged love child.

PS. I think he is Michael’s son.
